Assembling the Ford Model T , 1916

The Model T Ford was introduced in 1908 and revolutionized the fledgling auto industry. Produced at a price the average worker could afford, the sales of the Model T dominated the auto market by 1914. Instrumental in this ascension to the top was Ford’s implementation of the assembly line, the final stage of which is shown in this footage.
