The German submarine U-35 sinks an Italian cargo ship in 1917. The sub first forces its victim to surrender and the crew to abandon ship. A boarding party then heads for the ship with explosives. The ship explodes and sinks.

This footage was captured upon the submarine’s surrender. It had been part of the sub’s log and was used to document its exploits.
